About the role:
Provide key, direct link to the client and strong relationship management skills for Business Development activities; as defined by the Facility Development Process. Primarily responsible for winning and extending contracts, maximizing the value of company assets and real estate by initiating and bringing to conclusion successful projects. Includes delivering to the client the facilities and services committed to in the proposal (not just winning the contract).
Essential Functions:
Primary accountability for:
- Managing the preparation and submission of quality proposals and other external documents for RFP's, lease extensions and other competitive opportunities in the F&B industry.
- Developing and implementing contract win and extension strategies, including proper positioning, local support, and identification of key success criteria.
- Preparing and executing the project work plan and managing the project budget. Gaining internal and external approval and providing periodic reporting on project costs and milestones.
- Negotiating and finalizing subtenant and client agreements, including internal approval of
terms. - Reviewing, reading and interpreting legal agreements supported by the Legal team and make
commercial recommendations. - Measuring process results (time, cost and quality). Capturing institutional learning. Supervising team members, facilitating team sessions, managing team performance against
work plan and ensuring team effectiveness. - Presentation of proposal to client to gain approval and negotiating tradeoffs.
- Responsibility for managing multiple projects and balancing work preparation and delegation.
- Develop preliminary and final project timelines, manage against them and provide periodic
updates to the Sr. Director BD. - Generate development cost estimates (i.e., internal and external costs to pursue development
opportunities). - Responsibility for business case, design and construction and process post audits and ensuring
institutionalized learnings. - Responsible for keeping Zone-Analysis for countries of responsibility up-to-date.
- Responsibility for maintaining effective relationships with support functions to ensure project
& team success. - Participate in the approval and negotiation of project change orders (both field changes and
scope changes). - Carry out reasonable management requests.
Qualifications:
Q=Applicants must meet qualifications:
- Demonstrated work experience focusing on relationship management, project/resource planning, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated track record of strong leadership in multi-discipline organization .Experience working with senior level management in other organizations, (e.g., government authorities) persuasion and diplomacy skills.
- Experience with high-level negotiating, decision-making and managing financial tradeoffs related to contract management.
- Experience in project management and cross-functional project coordination
- P=Functional Screen/Panel will screen for these qualifications:
- BS; BA with advanced/graduate degree preferred. Fact-based decision making skills.
- Excellent problem resolution, team leadership/membership and facilitation skills.
- Experience in reading and interpreting legal agreements .Creative, visionary skills.
- Strong understanding of and focus on process management across multiple projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English and German and French would be a plus.
- Proactive self-starter with strong organization skills with the ability to perform in a challenging, high-pressure environment.
