In Türkiye, Avolta operates Duty Free and F&B stores at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport, along with Duty Free stores at Kayseri and Çukurova Airports.

For the role we are recruiting for, the position will provide corporate-level support across all these operations.

We are looking for an experienced candidate to join our team as a Country Commercial Category Assistant, based at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To support sourcing, supplier performance, promotion planning, and business development activities for the assigned category, in line with overall category strategies and commercial objectives.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

• Coordinate sourcing activities and manage interactions with suppliers.

• Assist in implementing category plans and ensuring alignment with business needs.

• Conduct market research for new products and suppliers.

• Analyze sales, stock levels, margins, and overall category performance; prepare reports.

• Support supplier negotiations and prepare relevant documentation.

• Assist with stock liquidation for discontinued items and follow up on related actions.

• Execute the planned promotion calendar to support sales growth.

• Track promotion results and follow up on agreed action points.

• Monitor market conditions (assortment, pricing, trends) and recommend improvements.

• Collaborate with store operations to drive sales‑focused category initiatives.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

• University degree in a relevant field.

• Excellent command of English (spoken & written)

• Minumum 3 years experienced in product, category, or brand management.

• Strong analytical skills and reporting capability.

• Experience in supplier evaluation and developing alternative suppliers.

• Preferably experienced with ERP/SAP systems.

• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.

• Strong communication, negotiation, and creative thinking skills.

• No travel restrictions
