PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Organize and coordinate Country sourcing related to “local” suppliers of the countries in the cluster. Plan and organize necessary promotions, in coordination with Marketing and Retail Operations to support & increase sales. Ensure margin and contribution objectives for the company.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Planning Define the sourcing strategy, in accordance with Global’s Category Heads, and implement it Determine and formalize expectations for negotiation with local suppliers, prepare supporting documents and information and conduct negotiation as approved by the category Organizing Liquidate the current stock of items to be discontinued
  • Implement approved modifications in the affected operations and review the results
  • Follow up and action plan to reach budgeted margins for local manufacturers and brands Evaluating Monitor the margin of the local products, adhering to the global margin policy
  • Coordinate and follow-up the development and implementation of promotions
  • Review and validate promotional calendars Analysis of the commercial performance of local suppliers, specifically sales, inventory levels, margins, payment terms, SKU Assortment Track and evaluate performance of products and local suppliers and prepare action plan.
  • Ensure that all contracts comply with Dufry policy and governmental regulation Review and optimize the performance and stock levels of existing items
  • Other responsibilities may be assigned

 

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Essential: Bachelor's degree in Business, 5-7 years of retail experience with at least 3 years in a management role. GIA or other related studies, retail jewellery store management, and jewellery sales experience helpful. Prior experience in jewellery buying domestically and internationally.

 

Specific Requirements: Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize tasks. High degree of analytical and negotiating skills. Computer literate. Solid coaching/mentoring skills

Languages: Fluent English and Spanish.

 

Desirable: Experience with Travel Retail.
