Role Summary:
The Digital Project Manager plays a pivotal role in leading the strategic development and hands-on execution of digital platforms across our Food & Beverage operations. This medior level position combines operational depth with innovation leadership, driving the full lifecycle of digital initiatives from concept and pilot to rollout and optimization. The ideal candidate is both a tactical executor and a strategic thinker, capable of navigating complex stakeholder landscapes and delivering impactful customer-facing solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Innovation
- Co-own and evolve the digital innovation roadmap for F&B, aligning with business goals and customer expectations.
- Lead cross-functional teams through the full lifecycle of digital projects, including ideation, prototyping, testing, and scaling.
- Translate strategic objectives into actionable project plans, balancing innovation with operational feasibility.
- Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and buy-in across departments.
Hands-On Implementation & Operational Setup
- Collaborate with Concept Development, IT, Cost Control, and Operations to deploy digital platforms that meet business and guest needs.
- Manage and own the content of digital platforms, including adaptation and collaboration with local teams.
- Manage detailed planning, budgeting, and risk mitigation for each implementation phase.
- Onboarding of local operations with new digital in sore customer facing tools
- Ensure platforms are fully functional, compliant, and integrated into daily operations.
Training & Enablement
- Design and deliver hands-on training programs for operations teams, ensuring high adoption and proficiency.
- Develop onboarding materials and support guides for staff and guests.
- Act as a mentor and coach for local teams during rollouts and transitions.
Performance Monitoring & Optimization
- Use data analytics to track platform performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Continuously refine digital customer journeys to enhance experience and drive commercial results.
- Lead platform updates and enhancements to maintain relevance and efficiency.
Project Management & Roll-out Execution
- Drive pilot programs and full-scale rollouts with precision and agility.
- Coordinate cross-functional resources to meet project milestones and KPIs.
- Troubleshoot issues during deployment and ensure smooth transitions into operations.
Platform Ownership & Vendor Management
- Oversee platforms such as (not limited to) Kiosks, QR ordering, Self-Checkout, and Digital Signage.
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate service agreements, and monitor performance.
- Ensure platforms are secure, scalable, and aligned with brand standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Degree in Hospitality Management (Hotelschool) or equivalent experience.
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years in F&B operations and digital project management.
- Proven success in leading complex, multi-market digital implementations.
- Strong understanding of POS systems, IT ecosystems, and cloud-based tools.
- Experience in training, stakeholder engagement, and vendor coordination.
- Preferably experience in branded restaurant or hospitality environments.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strategic mindset with hands-on execution capability.
- Deep knowledge of F&B operations and concept functionality.
- Strong planning, budgeting, and financial forecasting skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
- Analytical and data-driven decision-making.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital collaboration tools.
- Understanding of IT infrastructure, data structures, and integrations.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
