PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
As an Account Manager based in Zurich, you will own the day-to-day relationship with a defined portfolio of VOYA’s brand advertisers — making sure every campaign delivers, every renewal lands, and every account grows. You are the trusted point of contact who turns a one-off campaign booking into a long-term, multi-year strategic partnership. Your remit spans the full post-sale lifecycle: onboarding new advertisers, briefing campaign management and ad operations, walking clients through performance results in structured business reviews, and proactively identifying renewal, upsell and cross-sell opportunities across VOYA’s growing capability stack — from DOOH and pop-ups to programmatic, sponsored media and first-party audience activation. You will work closely with the VP Commercial, the Brand Partnerships team (who close new business) and the Campaign Management team (who execute), acting as the connective tissue that makes the full client experience feel seamless. Beyond your core remit, you will be a key voice surfacing client feedback into Product, Insights and Strategy so VOYA continues to evolve in the right direction. This is a role for someone who genuinely enjoys building long-term client relationships, takes pride in flawless delivery, and has the commercial instinct to spot growth in every account they touch.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own the end-to-end post-sale relationship for a defined portfolio of brand advertisers — from onboarding and campaign briefing through to delivery, reporting, renewal and growth
- Achieve and exceed retention, renewal and account growth targets, with clear ownership of upsell and cross-sell across VOYA’s full product suite (DOOH, programmatic, sponsored media, brand pop-ups, audience and data solutions)
- Lead structured Quarterly Business Reviews and campaign wrap-ups that translate performance data into clear, commercially relevant insights and forward-looking recommendations
- Brief and partner closely with Campaign Management, Ad Operations, Creative and Insights to ensure flawless campaign execution and best-in-class client experience
- Develop tailored, insight-led proposals for renewals, expansions and new initiatives — leveraging Avolta’s first-party traveler data, premium audience segments and attribution measurement capabilities
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with brand marketing, media and procurement contacts at advertiser organisations across DACH and selected international markets
- Surface client feedback, market signals and product requests into the Commercial, Product and Strategy teams to actively shape VOYA’s roadmap
- Maintain accurate account plans, pipeline forecasts and CRM hygiene (Salesforce), giving leadership a reliable read on the health and growth trajectory of your book of business
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Minimum 3 years of experience in account management, client services or campaign management within media, advertising, AdTech, retail media or a related industry — with a clear track record of retaining and growing existing client revenue
- Solid understanding of how brands plan and buy media, and familiarity with at least one of: DOOH, programmatic, retail media or social/digital advertising
- Commercial mindset — you are confident leading renewal and upsell conversations, building business cases and negotiating commercial terms
- Detail-oriented and process-driven, with strong project management instincts and the ability to keep multiple campaigns and stakeholders moving in parallel
- Comfortable working with performance data — able to read a campaign report and translate it into a story, a recommendation and a next-step proposal
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, both internally and with senior client stakeholders
- Comfortable working in a start-up culture within a large global corporate, across multiple time zones and markets, with the flexibility to adapt to evolving priorities
- Based in Zurich, with the ability and willingness to travel within DACH and internationally for client meetings and industry events
- Fluency in English and German required; French or additional languages a strong advantage
