Position Summary:
The Global Accounting Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting across Avolta’s international operations. The Global Accounting Specialist is involved in the analysis of accounting questions from the local finance team as well as the review of local reportings and supporting global consolidation work. This role involves coordination with finance colleagues around the world, involvement in Group-wide accounting/reporting topics, ensuring compliance with global accounting standards (like IFRS). The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has strong analytical skills, and is experienced in international accounting and consolidation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee accounting operations for multiple international entities
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end close processes across global subsidiaries
- Support the preparation of consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS
- Collaborate with local finance teams and external auditors in different regions
- Maintain compliance with internal controls
- Support monitoring of changes and implementation of new or updated international accounting standards and tax laws
- Participate in system implementations and process improvements related to global accounting and reporting
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification preferred)
- 3–5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably with international exposure
- Solid knowledge of IFRS and international accounting practices
- Experience with ERP / consolidation systems (preferably SAP Group Reporting / Central Finance)
- Strong Excel and financial analysis skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Fluency in English required; additional languages a plus
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in a multinational corporation
- Exposure to SOX compliance or similar internal control frameworks
