PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

We are looking for a Category Analyst to join our team in Madrid, Spain. This role is key to driving data-driven decisions that optimize category performance. You will analyze market and sales data, monitor KPIs, and provide actionable insights to improve profitability and efficiency across our product categories.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Data Analysis & Insights

  • Analyze sales and market data to identify trends and growth opportunities.
  • Monitor category performance metrics such as sales, profitability, and inventory levels.

Forecasting & Planning

  • Develop and maintain category forecasts and inventory plans.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to benchmark performance and identify industry trends.

Pricing & Promotions

  • Monitor pricing and promotional activities within the category and recommend optimizations.

  

Collaboration & Reporting

  • Work closely with Category Heads to support category improvements.
  • Develop and maintain category reporting tools and dashboards.

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • Experience: 3–5 years in a Category Analyst or similar role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with retail industry and market trends.
