PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Global Internal Audit & Investigations Specialist is responsible for continuous monitoring, auditing and reviews on Avolta’s global operations across 75 countries with more than 5,500 stores and restaurants including Point of Sale and sales-related transactions, bank accounts and reconciliations, inventory and supply chain, supplier and vendor analysis. This role will partner with functional, regional and country management to support operational and business analytics, fraud management and prevention, and increasing efficiencies of controls and operations.
The role reports to the Global Internal Audit & Investigations Manager and is based in our office in Madrid, Spain or Banglore, India.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Control and monitor internal and external threats and misappropriations. Provide a viable instrument to identify possible misappropriation within the organization through various tests and analysis techniques.
- Global Investigations test development
- Based on regular discussions, define new tests that are logical, feasible, effective and beneficial for the group, aiming to identify fraudulent activity, ensuring loss is minimized and awareness is maximized.
- Continuously develop, support and enhance Global Digital Audit procedures and methodologies through structured changes to new and existing programs or controls.
- Execution of Global Investigations tests to be done.
- Execute current validations by conducting regular detailed tests and analysis of data collected and report as scheduled. Perform tests independently using data mining techniques.
- Support group companies’ asset misappropriation and controls to leverage awareness.
- Understand the methods of conducting data analyses and investigations, identifying internal integrity issues and analysing the results.
- Ensure proper report writing, record keeping and retention of evidence when applicable.
- Actively monitor exception reports for issues alone and in conjunction with auditors.
- Assist Auditors by providing all Global Investigations information during the planning phase for all Internal Audit engagements and as required throughout the audit process.
- Identify and ensure communication upward of issues that must be addressed at a higher level.
- Using technical tools/systems create the required technical environment to extract and analyse data. Extract alone data from various IT sources.
- Create and execute queries.
- Work with internal IT partners to help evaluate that existing software or in-house programs have the necessary built-in controls.
- Work cross functionally with other departments to maximize data accuracy.
- Use and develop AI agents and automation to detect risks, streamline investigations, and improve decision-making.

- Demonstrate strong self-initiative and leadership in identifying, analyzing, and resolving complex operational challenges
- Proven ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy, profesionalism, and meeting critical deadlines

- Demonstrate strong organizational skills
