This role manages global pricing activities for the Perfumery and Cosmetics category, focusing on cost evolution analysis, benchmark monitoring, and compliance with commercial agreements. It also involves developing pricing policy templates aligned with category strategies, reviewing simulation outputs, and ensuring the accuracy of the cost price database. Additionally, the role provides margin evolution insights to support the Category Pricing Manager in strategic decision-making.
- Provide analytical support to the Pricing Manager and Category Team regarding cost and retail price evolution to enable informed decision-making and tactical initiatives.
- Maintain and analyze cost price data and ensure database accuracy.
- Evaluate vendor cost change proposals using competitive intelligence and consumer insights, ensuring alignment with commercial agreements.
- Validate cost changes in coordination with the Pricing Manager.
- Investigate margin declines in operations and support Category Teams with action plans and corrective measures.
- Analyze margin targets and identify opportunities for improvement, subject to Category Team validation.
- Review and confirm product lists (e.g., KVIs, Price Collection feeds).
- Ensure supplier pricing, cost, and reconciliation data are up to date.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper implementation of pricing policy guidelines.
- Act as reviewer and first-level approver for invoice discrepancies in Basware.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports.
- Set retail prices for new products and range extensions.
- Manage ad hoc issues related to cost and retail pricing.
- Monitor and report deviations in cost prices and margins.
- Ensure proper follow-up of price implementation with the Commercial Pricing Team.
- Calculate initial retail prices for novelties and extensions in line with policy guidelines, ensuring product listings are completed
- WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance or related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in category management and/or finance/pricing.
- Desirable: Experience in pricing and/or finance management, preferably within the retail industry and core categories.
- Strong financial understanding, proficient knowledge in MS Office programs, particularly Excel.
- Experience in pricing, finance, or commercial analysis roles.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Excel and data management tools.
- Knowledge of retail or FMCG environments is a plus.
- Fluent in English; Spanish is a strong asset.
