PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Global Senior Commercial Analyst, based in Madrid and reporting to Global Advertising leadership, plays a critical role in transforming Avolta’s extensive data assets into clear, actionable insights that drive revenue growth. Acting as the analytical backbone of Avolta Advertising, the role leverages transactional data and the company’s data lake to identify growth opportunities and support supplier monetization. The position focuses on research, advanced analysis, and translating complex datasets into impactful commercial recommendations. Working across multiple airports, countries, and categories, the role collaborates with internal and external partners and delivers high‑quality insights, reports, and presentations to senior and executive stakeholders.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Navigates and extracts insights from Avolta’s extensive data lake and transactional datasets to identify growth opportunities, value‑add initiatives, and business transformation projects
  • Translates complex and raw data into clear, actionable insights for Advertising leadership and commercial teams
  • Develops robust business cases, forecasts, and commercial models to support new initiatives and strategic decisions
  • Identifies revenue opportunities and performance gaps across locations, categories, and suppliers
  • Designs and maintains KPI dashboards and executive‑level reporting to monitor performance and track impact
  • Supports monthly performance reviews and recurring business reporting processes
  • Partners closely with Advertising Solutions, Sales, Product, and Campaign Management teams to ensure analytics are fully aligned with commercial needs

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • 5–7 years of experience in commercial analytics, business controlling, commercial strategy, or consulting
  • Proven ability to work with large‑scale data environments, including data lakes and transactional datasets
  • Strong knowledge of query data capabilites (e.g. SQL, Python, or R)
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret, synthesize, and draw conclusions from complex data
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to clearly link analytics to tangible business outcomes
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and BI tools, with solid experience in data modelling and insight storytelling
  • Proficient in English
  • Experience in retail, travel, media, marketing, or other multi‑market environments is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distill complexity into simple, decision‑ready insights
