PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Senior People Technology Analyst ensures that Avolta’s People processes are correctly designed, governed, and enabled through technology. The role acts as a functional subject matter expert, translating end‑to‑end HR processes into scalable, compliant, and globally aligned solutions within Nexus (SAP SuccessFactors). As a key connector between business, people, and process, the Senior People Technology Analyst plays an influential role in the transformation of Avolta’s global HR landscape, ensuring that technology effectively supports efficient, consistent, and future‑ready People operations. The role reports to the Global Head of People Technology and is based in Madrid, Spain.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Functional Ownership of People Processes & Stakeholder Partnership

  • Serve as the HR functional expert for Nexus across all end‑to‑end People processes (hire to retire, Core HR/EC, recruitment, job architecture, performance, talent, compensation)
  • Ensure People processes are HR‑led, compliant, and correctly enabled through technology
  • Translate HR policies, labour law requirements, and operational needs into system design while safeguarding process integrity
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior PC&O leaders, regional teams, and People Operations
  • Ensure proposed changes align with global standards and maintain strong compliance and data‑governance principles
  • Collaborate with IT and vendors while maintaining clear functional ownership

 

Nexus Solution Design, Business Analysis & Reporting

  • Lead functional analysis and solution design for complex, multi‑country People requirements
  • Define global standards, local deviations, and sustainable operating models with Global and Regional PC&O
  • Produce essential functional documentation (FRDs, process maps, RACIs, SOPs, governance materials)
  • Define reporting requirements and ensure consistent People KPIs across regions
  • Enable insight‑driven reporting that supports leadership and operational decision‑making

 

HR Data Model, Governance & Cross‑Functional Enablement (Payroll & Finance)

  • Act as functional expert for Avolta’s People data model (master data, job architecture, positions, organisational structures)
  • Ensure high‑quality data that supports payroll, finance, workforce planning, and reporting
  • Monitor data KPIs and ensure GDPR and data privacy compliance
  • Partner closely with Payroll and Finance to ensure accurate downstream outcomes
  • Support payroll integration testing and resolve upstream People process issues to prevent downstream errors

 

Knowledge Leadership & Continuous Improvement

  • Serve as a senior reference point within the People Technology team
  • Guide team members and promote strong governance, documentation, and process discipline
  • Support change management for Nexus releases and enhancements
  • Contribute to training, guidance materials, and adoption activities
  • Identify opportunities to simplify and automate People processes while protecting employee experience

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • 5+ years’ experience in HR, People Operations, or People Technology, including direct experience within an HR function
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field
  • Hands‑on experience with enterprise HR systems (SAP SuccessFactors preferred)
  • Strong understanding of global, end‑to‑end HR processes and employee lifecycle management, with the ability to translate complex global business and HR requirements into clear, system‑driven solutions
  • Experience working in global, multi‑country environments; exposure to payroll, finance, or workforce planning is an advantage
  • Experience in managing global projects across multiple stakeholders, timelines, and competing priorities
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem‑solving skills
  • Extensive experience leading multinational projects across diverse teams and cultures
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities
  • High attention to detail with strong documentation discipline
  • Comfortable working in ambiguity and influencing without authority
  • SAP SuccessFactors or People Analytics certifications are an advantage
  • Fluent English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus
