PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Support the Cost Administration Manager and the Cost Administration Coordinator in the overall OPC Cost Control processes and the financial oversight of all technical projects involving the Shop Development team. This includes not only construction projects but also new tenders and feasibility studies. The role will contribute to the creation of a centralized cost control database, ensuring alignment between the financial status of each project and the data reflected in SAP and Oracle financial systems. Additionally, the position will provide cost administration support across the entire Shop Development team. This position is based at our Headquarters in Madrid.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible to deliver OPC cost control procedures (Purchase orders review, invoice validation, Basware support…) according to corporate policies and internal audit recommendations.
- Create a global cost control data base to align the financial status reflected in each project with the information reflected within the local ERP finance control software and the integration with Basware platform.
- Monitor the construction managers in each region are fulfilling the company procedures regarding PO and invoices.
- Support OPC management team to generate reporting on business demand.
- Support regional technical teams in the vendor creations process in Master Data and OPC.
- Collaboration with Global AP teams to monitor that invoice payments are not delayed.
- Responsible to monitor the PPE construction capex budget in collaboration with Global Business Development and Global Finance Controlling
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Formal education in Finance, ideally to degree level.
- Professional-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of Construction Law and contractual processes is a plus.
- Experience or familiarity with construction projects is an advantage.
- Knowledge of SAP and Oracle financial systems is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and stakeholder environment.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills.
- Fluent in English; other languages would be considered an asset
