PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

We are seeking a versatile and talented Graphic Designer to play a crucial role in bringing our vision to life across Avolta's global operations. As a member of our core team, you will operate with the agility and creativity of a boutique agency while embracing the ambition and reach of a global brand, akin to operating a startup within an established company. This position is ideal for a designer who seamlessly transitions between conceptual thinking and detailed execution. You will be passionate about visual excellence and eager to shape the aesthetic and creative standards of a new global entity. The role is based in Berlin, and will report directly to the Global Creative Director.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design brand-forward campaigns and creative assets across digital channels, (D)OOH, social, and physical retail environments.
  • Contribute to global campaigns, product launches, retail takeovers, and immersive airport experiences.
  • Develop creative toolkits, style guides, templates, and scalable rollout systems.
  • Collaborate closely with the Global Creative Director, as well as copywriters, strategists, account managers, marketing leads, and performance analysts.
  • Support creative pitches and presentations for both internal stakeholders and brand partners.
  • Be a core part of the team shaping the culture, standards, and creative spirit of this new entity.
  • Help evolve the offering and design language of Avolta’s in-house studio.

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR 

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in graphic, brand, or retail design — ideally within luxury, beauty, lifestyle, or F&B.
  • A visually strong, taste-driven portfolio spanning digital and physical channels, showcasing executional excellence.
  • Experience with AI-based workflows and automation — creating visuals with an Art Director’s eye and adapting formats at scale.
  • Experience with motion design (DOOH & video).
  • Digital design experience (websites, e-commerce, mobile apps).
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); motion/3D skills are a plus.
  • Strong instincts for typography, layout, image direction, and brand nuance.
  • Comfort working at pace, managing multiple projects, and collaborating cross-functionally.
  • A proactive, hands-on mindset — you’re excited to build, not just execute.
  • Experience in travel retail is a plus, but curiosity and adaptability are more important.
