In Türkiye, Avolta operates Duty Free and F&B stores at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport, along with Duty Free stores at Kayseri and Çukurova Airports.

For the role we are recruiting for, the position will provide corporate-level support across all retail operations.

We are looking for an experienced candidate to join our team as a Payroll & Admin Unit Manager, based at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport.

 

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To ensure the accurate, timely and fully compliant execution of payroll and personnel processes by managing all SGK procedures, maintaining up-to-date employee records, securing the alignment of HR and finance data, and overseeing end-to-end salary operations.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage payroll and personnel processes, ensuring all salary, bonus, deduction and statutory calculations are executed accurately, on time and in full compliance with legislation; complete SGK onboarding/offboarding notifications, monthly declarations and all mandatory legal filings in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Finalize monthly payroll and ensure the full completion of accounting records, bank instructions and related payment processes.
  • Utilize Bilin Humanist payroll system at an advanced and active level to manage all payroll operations; ensure data accuracy, system integrity and process reliability in alignment with internal and external audit standards.
  • Maintain employee personnel files, contracts and all documentation accurately, up to date and in compliance with legal requirements.
  • Perform HR–finance data reconciliation; prepare severance and notice compensation calculations, leave provisions and other financial analyses.
  • Prepare, track and report annual and periodical personnel budgets.
  • Prepare requested HR reports, monitor key payroll KPIs, and adopt an analytical HR mindset to strengthen data‑driven decision‑making.
  • Lead the payroll and personnel team, ensuring high performance, efficiency and process excellence.
  • Coordinate employee health insurance processes and ensure accurate execution of all related administrative operations.
  • Manage payroll requests, corrections and exceptional payments accurately and within required timeframes.
  • Monitor legislative changes and ensure payroll applications and related HR policies remain fully up to date.
  • Ensure all administrative HR processes are executed in a systematic, organized and fully compliant manner.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree from relevant university programs.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in payroll management.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills (preferred).
  • Advanced hands-on experience with the Bilin Humanist payroll system.
  • Strong knowledge of Labor Law, SGK legislation and tax regulations.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy and strong numerical/analytical skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and MS Office applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, lead the payroll team and meet strict deadlines.
  • High level of discretion and sensitivity regarding confidentiality and data security.
  • Proactive, responsible, analytical and solution-oriented mindset.
