We are Avolta – bringing together travel retail and food & beverage under one global brand across more than 75 countries. In Sweden, we operate at Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö and Luleå Airports.

We are now looking for an experienced and hands-on People & Culture Manager to lead our local HR function.

About the role

As People & Culture Manager, you will be responsible for leading and developing HR operations in Sweden while supporting the business through all key people processes. This is a highly operational role combining HR Business Partner responsibilities, people leadership and continuous improvement.

You will lead a team consisting of a HR Business Partner, HR Coordinator and a Payroll Specialist, and work closely with business leaders, managers and Group HR.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted HR partner to managers and support all areas of the employee lifecycle
  • Lead, coach and develop the Swedish HR and Payroll team
  • Drive recruitment and support workforce planning
  • Manage employee relations, labour law matters and union interactions
  • Drive employee engagement, employer branding and people development initiatives
  • Improve HR processes, systems and ways of working
  • Lead the local implementation of Group HR initiatives and projects
  • Oversee payroll operations and ensure compliance with Swedish legislation and company policies

We are looking for a collaborative and hands-on HR leader who combines strong operational HR expertise with a passion for continuous improvement, people leadership and change implementation.

Experience & Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in a broad HR role, such as HR Business Partner or HR Manager
  • Experience leading people, teams or larger HR initiatives
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Hands-on, service-minded, and detail-oriented approach
  • Strong knowledge of Swedish labour law and collective agreements (Retail and Food & Beverage)
  • Experience supporting managers in an operational business environment
  • Interest in process improvement, HR systems and organizational development
  • Fluent Swedish and English

Experience from retail, hospitality, restaurants, aviation or other service-oriented industries is an advantage.

About the employment

The position is a full-time permanent position with a six-month probationary period. You are located at Stockholm-Arlanda Airport with a hybrid working model. You report to the Nordic People, Culture & Organization Director. Travelling within the Nordics and Sweden is needed from time to time.
