Role Profile

 

Purpose

 

The Regional Senior Business Controller leads the controlling function within the Business Unit North, Central, and Eastern Europe (NCE). This role ensures robust financial planning, performance management, and stakeholder alignment across the region. Reporting directly to the BU CFO, the role oversees a team of four controllers and acts as a key liaison between country management and group functions.

 

Key Accountabilities

 

Leadership & Coordination

  • Lead and develop a high-performing controlling team.
  • Coordinate financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes across countries.
  • Ensure alignment of financial strategies with business objectives and group guidelines.

 

 

Business Partnering

  • Act as a business partner to the BU CFO and country management teams.
  • Maintain strong relationships with group finance and other corporate functions to ensure cohesive financial governance.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support operational decisions.

 

Performance Management

  • Drive the monthly performance review process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Monitor key financial KPIs and identify areas for improvement.
  • Support post-investment reviews and ensure learnings are integrated into future planning.

 

CAPEX Oversight

  • Oversee capital investment planning and control through the CAPEX Controller.
  • Ensure CAPEX projects are aligned with strategic priorities and deliver expected returns.
  • Support cross-functional investment evaluations and long-term financial planning.

 

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, financial policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.

 

Person Profile

Experience and Specific Requirements

Key Relationships

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.

5+ years of experience in controlling, preferably in a multinational environment.

Proven leadership experience with direct team management.

Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
