About the role:

 

Lead the definition and implementation of the Division operations commercial strategy. It is accountable for the Division’s top performance, coordinating with the General Managers and being part of the Regional Commercial community. Collaborates in the definition and implements global solutions to support our retail operational model.

 

Organizational Structure:

This role will be reporting directly to the EMEA Senior Vice President of Commercial Retail and dotted line to the CEO of Northern, Central & Eastern Europe. This role will act as the regional commercial retail Director for the following countries: Armenia, Bulgaria, Finland, France, Kazakhstan, Russia, Serbia, Sweden, Switzerland, and Ukraine. The position provides indirect leadership—not direct line management—but ensures alignment on commercial retail strategies across the region.

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

Commercial Strategy and Plan:

  • Lead the definition of the commercial plan of each operation with the coordination with the Countries to complete and execute it.
  • Empowered to ensure implementation of the commercial model in operations.
  • Support to create the commercial strategy for a new tender or layout change.
  • Follow-up sales & margin.
  • KPIs supporting (spend per Pax, penetration, Pax profile).

 

Commercial Model and Best Practices:

  • Lead the implementation of global and Division projects and solutions defined by the Commercial and other communities that support operations.
  • Lead and drive commercial execution in the Division, supporting Countries and other communities in the key retailing decisions and projects (such as assortment, layout, promotions, pricing, customer service, business development, IT solutions, or ad-hoc projects).
  • Responsible for leading the local products strategy.  
  • Proactive to implement Commercial Best practices in the Region.

Commercial Performance:

  • Manage Commercial Plan Performance.
  • Coordinates commercial activities in the Division, working closely with General Managers and the Global Procurement Platform to achieve commercial objectives.
  • Support the Division Chief Executive Officers and the General Managers throughout the budgeting process, in line with the commercial plan.
  • Follow up the commercial performance of the Division based on agreed KPI’s, and work closely with General Manager and the Global Procurement Platform to identify issues and provide solutions. 
  • Ensure that Division Category managers follow up implementation and performance of promos and novelties. 

Community:

  • It is part of the Commercial community, keeping a close link with the operation at store level, implementing standard policies and procedures, and driving organic growth.

 

Business Development:

  • Partner with the Division Business Development Director in the commercial side of the business plan elaboration for new openings or concession tendering within the Division.
