PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

 The Master Data Specialist, based in Madrid, is responsible for ensuring the accurate, consistent, and timely entry, maintenance, and quality control of all item, vendor, client, and pricing data within the company’s database. The role plays a key part in safeguarding the integrity of the assortment structure for a specific category and supporting the organization with reliable master data for operational and commercial decision-making.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 Ensure correct and complete data entry in the database, including the introduction and update of items, suppliers, clients, and assortment structures

  • Introduce new items, vendors, clients, cost prices, and assortment details into the system
  • Maintain and regularly update the database to guarantee accuracy and consistency
  • Verify that all item cards contain correct information (item description, hierarchy, purchasing pricing, etc.)
  • Enter new cost prices using the established margin once validated by the Category Managers
  • Communicate price changes internally as required
  • Validate data against calculated margins to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Support additional tasks and responsibilities as required by the direct manager

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Proven experience in data entry, database applications, and MS Office (especially Excel)
  • Advanced Excel skills are a strong plus
  • Excellent overall IT literacy and ability to work comfortably with digital tools
  • Strong analytical, structured, and methodical working approach
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • High level of English (both written and spoken)
